    Gears For 37s?

    Did anyone re-gear for 37s?

If so, what gear ratio and brand of gears?

Did you put it in a locker?

I would also like to get your thoughts on before & after, how it drives, MPH.

    Was it worth it?

Also, which Trans do you have, and if deleted or not.

I prefer the 4th and 5th Gen experience.

    I'm debating on re-gearing my 2019 for my 37s.

    I have 5th Gen deleted.

My mileage isn't bad, and driveability isn't the best or worst, but shift points seem off.

I don't tow a lot other than my 22' wake boat.

It's a hefty price tag, and I would consider doing the work myself. I have set up a few sets of Toyota and Jeep gears, but it's been a while.

    4.56 on 38s on a 4th gen with a 68RFE for me, and it's a little much sometimes.

My advice is to switch out to 4.44s and don't look back.

Know that you need a lot of impact gun for the rear pinion, like max out a Milwaukee 1/2 big gun and pulling bearings is not easy everything is huge compared to a Jeep/Toyota.

No locker, leave it the way it is; that's what the traction control and ESC are expecting.

Damn 4.44 I was thinking just 4.10s would be fine to keep my highway mileage decent.

    I have factory 3.88s.

Thanks for the tips I did rebuild my 2nd gen read end so I know about the weight.

Side note how much cutting trimming did you do to run 38s?

Let me ask one more question, I guess.

What is your average cruising speed?

Wheel offset is everything to clear tires.

I trimmed the pinch weld and fender liner that covers it, and they didn't rub at stock ride height.

I did that to know they wouldn't rub anywhere through the suspension travel.

I did the full thuren set up, so it will still cycle back to the factory bump-out location.

    I tend to drive faster.

    Around 80+, to be honest.

I most likely will not tow very heavy ever. Maybe a tiny camper one day but for now, just my boat.

Okay, that is what I trimmed, but I didn't mess with the pinch weld.

I forgot my backspace, but it's what CJC recommended when I got my Carli kit. 37s look small after a couple of years.

    Haha.

Also rear end is substantially harder to deal with than the older 2nd Gens.

If your used to 80 ish you may find yourself happier on the 4.10 then.

4.44 will be easier on the trans but not quite as nice to the fuel tank on day to day driving.

Be mindful of not pulling hard and heavy in 5th or 6th for sure.

I've had a new set of 38s on order with Custom Offsets for 31 weeks now, so I'd advise against the upsize currently.

    Re: Gears For 37s?

    I went 4.56 gears with 37s.

2nd Gen swapped s467. The 4.56 keep truck in the powerband.

No real lag, and It rarely utilizes the low boost fueling.

I like the way it drives, but I wish I went 4.30s for the fuel mileage.

I average 15 mpg hand calculated. I drive 75-85 on the hwy mostly.

4.30s are hard to find right now.

If staying stock turbo 4.10s will be good. I’d say 4.30 max.
