    11' 3500 CC LB SRW 4x4LB AT68 - Urgent

    I have a dead truck here, and I believe it's computer-related.

Truck is bone stock—220,00 miles, original motor, trans, new transfer case a year ago, Laramie.

-Truck started losing charge overnight, could not find a draw.

    -Replaced batteries, problem continued.

-I checked batteries and alternator, both check out with Inova scanner.

It started leaving my dad stranded at this point, so I took it to the dealer.

The exhaust was stolen at the dealer (all of it) and took months to get back.

All OE parts were replaced, and the original problem was never addressed.

    -Symptoms-dead in the required jump.

Drive, stop, restart for a while, then everything on the dash malfunctions.

Warning Lights, relays, ac duct valves.

Losing voltage and then dying with lots of relay clicking.

-TIPM was recommended, installed OEM new TIPM yesterday, no change.

-Genos recommended TIPM, but thinks its probably PCM.

    Codes:
    P2509
    P0562
    P006E
    P113C

I will get P2509 several times in one sitting.

Welcome! That sucks all the exhaust was stolen at the dealership.
Did you load test your batteries individually? Sounds like one or both may have a dead cell.

It sounds like you may have a short to ground somewhere.

The P2509 is an intermittent low voltage input to the PCM.

The P006E suggests a possible short to ground on the turbo actuator.

I would start with a parasitic draw test to isolate the cause of the battery drain.

If you can't find the cause of the battery drain and still suspect the PCM is the problem, you could try disconnecting the PCM while monitoring the battery draw or send it out for testing.

    Thank you for the input.

I did a draw test on it, and the only thing I can find is the 10 am ignition fuse is creating a fluctuating 1amp draw when the truck is asleep.

The truck draws for about 10minutes.

    Approximately 20amps to 1.5.

That 1 amp goes away when I pull that fuse.

Where does the PCM ground precisely?

The harness and plugs look intact and the same with the turbo actuator.

    Please advise, and thank you.

1 amp is way too much should be around 50 milliamps or less.

Something on that circuit is causing the draw. Start unplugging things on that circuit till the draw goes away.

Make sure to manually close the latch for the hood and the doors while testing that way, and you aren’t constantly waiting for it to go to sleep.

Also, keep in mind that unplugging things can re-wake up the bus system.

Agree with @Chrisn162001 your 1 amp draw is way too high.

It would help if you found out what that 10 amp ignition fuse supplies.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a wiring diagram for your truck.

    Please keep us posted.

I have the 2010 stuff, I bet the 11 is the same, does that 10A ignition fust have a number? ie J23, M13 etc? I will take a peek and see what is powers.

Also, as a dealer tech (not Mopar) 99.99999% of electrical issues are a result of something someone did or added.

I suppose I should have posted to this part of the thread instead of further down.

My issue is a P2509 and no start. Lost communication to the ECM. Brand new batteries, all grounds are good and new TIPM. It sounds like same issue the above fella is having. I am wondering what fixed his problem?
