    Heater Not Warming Up

    I got a heater issue.

The fan blows as it should, but the heater is not working.

It gets Luke warm but will not heat up even after the truck runs for hours, and the coolant is at average operating temperature.

I noticed back in the summer that the ac didn’t feel like it was getting all the way cold either.

I think it might be the outside air damper/mixing door/actuator.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

Where is the outside air damper located?

    How can I test it?

Just a thought, but my buddy was having poor hear the output.

He backflushed his heater core both ways and got it performing again.

If you mix coolant types, it's easy for these to get plugged up.

    These need the proper coolant.
