Do I Need Anything Else? Power Folding Mirrors Added

I added power-folding mirrors through ALFAOBD and a new window switch with the power-folding mirror button.

It isn’t working.

Do I need to change the door module on both sides?

Is there anything else I need?

I ended up finding that somewhere.

The LH side is tough to find on eBay.

RH all day long, fewer with the power mirror option.

Curious, when ordering replacement modules, a VIN is usually required.

Are the new modules pre-programmed for that specific VIN when you receive them?

In other words, is there any difference between the programing in the module you already have and what you receive?

Or is the new module a blank canvas that needs to be programmed for the options you have?

I didn’t think about that.

I have ordered them already.

I wonder if ALFAOBD will program them?

The part number is different for door modules that have folding mirrors and ones that don’t.

They are preprogrammed.

You can get used ones, and they will work perfectly; they are not VIN locked like most modules.

It will be interesting to see if the new module will maybe fix your AAT sensor issue also.

Well, I ordered both door modules off eBay from two different vendors.

Both said they had power-folding mirrors.

I installed both, and now my driver and passenger windows won’t work from the driver control and the power-folding mirrors.

I’m going to hook up to alfaobd and see if I just didn’t turn it on.

I’m hoping it helps with the AAT problem.

Mainly cause I have no idea what to troubleshoot next.
