Thread: Superior Transmission Shop - El Paso, Texas - Advice

He hasn’t said anything about not being able to complete the job.

I’ve been considering exactly what you said about having it picked up and starting the process of small claims court.

I can’t find any info online on whether it’s possible to win that type of case, so I’m hesitant, but it might have to come to that.

Where’s Judge Judy when we need her?

Seriously it’s a pain to have to go through the process and hard to prove without a written agreement.

Keep trying to work with him for now.

Then be sure to follow up with a complaint at the Better Business Bureau.

Hopefully, he didn’t lose your parts and is giving you excuses waiting on the new parts?

I can’t imagine he lost them, but anything is possible.

I’ll be sure to ask to see my parts Monday when I go to the shop.

    That’s crazy.

Gear installs take 3-4 hrs per axle on these trucks.

    Quite sad to hear this.

Hoping there’s a good reason behind it.

I buy many transmission parts from them and have never had a problem.

Re: Superior Transmission Shop - El Paso, Texas - Advice

Well, the truck isn't finished yet, but it's now at a shop that I have much more faith in and was recommended by several others.

Today was day 46 of Superior Transmission having my truck.

I called them on Friday and left a voicemail that I never responded to.

I got to the shop 30 minutes after they opened and found my truck outside with the rear differential completely disassembled as it had been two weeks prior.

I was told the rear was 95% complete about a week ago, but that was not the case.

In addition to that, the diff cover was off, both hubs opened, and axles removed.

I don't know how long they had been open for and were filled with sand and dirt( wind storms in El Paso in the last week or two).

In addition to the open diff and hubs, my brand new master install kit with bearings and seals was laying loose in the bed of the truck and was also covered in sand and dirt from the past week or two.

Dirt and sand were stuck in the pre-greased bearings left outside unprotected.

I immediately called a flatbed tow truck and took the truck to another 4x4 shop I had been in contact with as a contingency plan.

So if you're looking for someone to do a re-gear in El Paso, stay far, far away from Superior Transmission and don't believe a single word that comes out of the owner's mouth.

Tell them to check out Google on Page 2 as this will become number 1 on Google as we have a significant ranking system.

God bless and good luck at the new place.
