I just installed a set of these Exotic performance head studs.

I did extensive research before ordering and called a couple of companies that sell them, and they all had great things to say about them.

I could not justify spending $1000.00 on ARP studs. IMO.

ARP is good but out of my league money-wise.

The research I did pay off; I have no problems and peace of mind running the upper tune level of my DRD MM3.

I don't run it in the highest setting all the time, but I have peace of mind when I want to that im good to go.

I did the job myself one at a time, and it was not hard to do; I took my time.

To be honest, setting the valve lash was the hardest for me.

Exotic head studs IMO are good to go.

I am glad I did the 625's a few years ago.

    Engine parts/repairs are not cheap.

It sucks they are on backorder, and I imagine now they are much more expensive than when I bought mine.
I knew cheap would get someone.

    I meant cheapest good ones.

    Who sells for less.

By not going cheap I meant spending a few extra $$$ on a proven product you have that peace of mind knowing its good.

I am not rich or well off by any means but I see the value in a proven product.

Not that others are not just as good but after doing the research I felt it was worth the extra cost of the 625's.

Keep in mind I did mine a few years ago when the other products mentioned here were quite new to the market and not time tested and used as the ARP's.

For me when I look at the cost of replacing a head gasket or possible worse the extra cost isnt so bad.

    Good luck whatever you choose.

Yeah, but if I can avoid paying a huge mark up I’d be happy.

I’m new to this whole diesel thing, and I’ve seen some vendors that are way more proud of the exact same product.

    I get it.

Keep looking you will find a deal at some point depending on your patience.

I got lucky in a way and found a deal on eBay for my 625s.

It was a new set from a well-rated seller for around $1100 and PayPal gave me a $200 credit if I applied and charged $600 or $700 on PayPal credit account in the first month.

I even got 18 months no interest so I jumped on it.
