    Stalling Out?

Hi everyone, I have a 2017 Cummins 68RFE with DRD tuning and a full clean bill of health if you know what I mean.

My truck has developed a problem in the last 2 weeks truck at WOT about 80-85mph the truck will just cut out its like it falls on its face rpm don't drop but they just stop at about 2200rpm and I was watching to see if it shifts but it stops in 5th gear.

I have found it doesn't do it if I accelerate slowly.

It will run right up to 100mph.

I have never had this happen before.

I don't get a check engine light or a DTC codes?

It sounds like maybe a fuel issue.

    Re: Stalling Out?

I was looking through some old posts, and I found one from Noneck, and what his truck was doing sounds the same as mine.

I should have worded it; differently; it's more like it's falling on its face, but I'm not losing RPMs.

I don't think I have a tuning issue never had this happen before; could it be dropping rail presser.

I'm going to try to video it tomorrow.

    Re: Stalling Out?

Today I was watching my rail presser.

It will spike up to 27k+ at WOT, but when the truck starts pulling hard about 2200 rpm or so, it will drop the presser to about 16k to 18k, and the truck almost feels like its surging got new fuel filters on its way it also cold here and the fuel isn't the best I do run fuel treatment every fill-up.

Fuel pressure relief valves, it's possible that yours is going bad.

The spring inside can get weak over time, so you can try to shim or spend 40$ on a plug; try it and see if it fixes your issue.
