    I Have A Mini Maxx, But Apparently They’re Dead?

    I bought a deleted 08 back in 17, but then I had only basic knowledge from what my friend gave me from owning a 2nd Gen.

    I now have a rebuilt trans and just got a 2nd Gen swap for my turbo from BD.

    Now I’m looking at my truck more in-depth and looking into a new tuner.

    I didn’t know the EPA was coming down so hard to make all this underground as it is, being that I’m from Texas and we don’t have emission regulations on diesel trucks.

    Don’t worry, because I bought a 08 deleted with a Mini Maxx in 2021 with little knowledge, LOL.

    You’re not alone, and I’ve messed with it many times to have somewhat better knowledge than I did.

    I just 2nd Gen swapped my turbo, definitely a different truck.

    I like having low boost fueling for driving in town, but it wastes way too much fuel when I’m on the highway.

    Like almost 6mpg bad.

    I want a new tuner to get the most out of the non-VGT.

    Right now, I just run my timing on the LVL 4 and am in performance mode since 70% of my driving is highway and deal with the lag in the city.

    I've had the tuner for years now, but definitely, getting the unlock code for the trans made my truck feel better if you don't have it.

    I also don't want to buy a new one.

    I replace it at 175k, and now I'm at 215k.

    I put a billet torque converter and something different with the clutches I can't remember off the top of my head.

    Soon I'm going to get the Revmax billet Valve actuator for it.

    Before more performance mods.

    I'd encourage you to get an updated tuner and tuning from DRD.

    H&S box tunes are a generic "one size fits all" effort.

    You won't realize the potential of your upgrades running the H&S.

    With custom tuning, you will see better power, better mileage, and improved drivability.

    Quite a bit of money for me right now.

    I just got ranch hands in the front and back, wheels and tires, and the 2nd gen swap.

    Summertime probably, and I need suspension work.

    I have a mini Maxx, too, it does ok, but lately, it seems to be lagging, not wanting to keep up with data from the truck.

    I worked for awhile but I think we can do better.
