Re: Is It My Water Pump?

So, it came out of the overflow area according to where the residual traces are.

The coolant tests are good, so I don't know why right now.

Currently, I have the belt off, tensioner off, and drain the coolant.

I'll be swapping the pump probably first thing in the morning.

I'll update what I find as I go.

Overflow area as in nipple outlet on the bottom front of the coolant reservoir?

If so, you may want to do what I did.

I hooked up and clamped a clear vinyl hose to the nipple and ran it down and out to the frame behind the passenger side front wheel.

This way, I could tell for sure and not have coolant everywhere if my reservoir cap goes bad or the system is overpressure.
