    New Build - Need Advice

I'm in need of a new actuator at 140k.

Scratch that new turbo set up at 140k. Instead of putting 900 in the actuator and waiting to see it fail again.

I'd like to set up compounds and air to support 750hp ish in the near future.

I'll do the head studs now with the compounds but I'll do fuel and the rest later.

I'm currently stock with drd weight loss program.

Who do I need to talk to about what setup is appropriate before looking at who to purchase from?

Also I do not mind lag at all as long as it isn't extreme there is no need to worry about instant boost.

I'd rather set up for more power than worry about lag.

This is my daily and will tow occasionally.

    Any experience is welcome.

I'm not really sure about all this and what setups are appropriate and work together.

I thought about adding a turbo.

I'd rather replace both with fixed geometry.

I will need exhaust brake added on after I suppose.

I am looking for a setup that works with oem switch/harness.

Can something like this be used for warm-ups?

I am sure others with experience will have advice, but for starters I would check with @DRD and @DDP.

Sounds like a fun project, please keep us posted.

And I got the green light from the wife!!!

What are supporting mods necessary from the G56 viewpoint?

And what mods are possible to G56?

@DDP you have been good to me as well as Ray.

If you happen to see this b4 celebrating the birth of our Lord and savior please ignore it until after the holiday, but the wife said buy parts.

I want to oring heads too if needed just let me know what you'd suggest to get me to my goal.

There are cosmetic parts I need also.

Re: New Build - Need Advice

I just did an S467.7 2nd Gen Swap, and I like it a lot.

I will add injectors and CP3 in the next month or two.

Have to wait since I tore my labrum in my shoulder.

I believe I should be around that number, though.

New to diesel but having fun just figuring it all out.

I would highly recommend some transmissions upgrades.

I ran mine for a couple of weeks, and instead of doing the valve body, I just went ahead and had someone build me a new one.

I think an S366 would be good also for what you want.

    Tranny is manual.

I wonder what upgrades are possible.

I want to raise the rpm limit to 4000 or 4500 rpm.

    I wish mine were manual.

I would recommend the S467 since you have a manual if it was me.

I don’t have that much knowledge yet on the rpm, but I would bet you will need to get a stroker CP3 or dual CP3 for that DRD will help you.

Very interested in this build; keep me updated.

    New Build - Need Advice

You’re going to want to get a set of rods if going compounds and really trying to put down big numbers.

You shouldn’t need orings or fire rings for a street-driven truck.

I’m partial to fire rings over orings even on street-driven trucks but only if cut into both block and head.

Just understand both orings a fire rings have a relatively short service life and require re-torques from time to time.

I really like the s467 s480 combo for 6.7s if going fixed turbo.

**Edit** Just saw you want 750hp.

Save yourself a ton of money and just a second Gen swap with an S467.

Don’t even bother with oring the head, it’s not needed at all at that power level.

Get a good clutch that’s all that trans will need at that power level.
