Fumoto Oil Drain Valve Or Magnetic Plug

I thought of doing away with the factory oil drain plug on my 2015 and putting on a Fumoto Oil drain valve from Geno's or one of the magnetic plugs from @Geno's Garage.

What's everyone's opinion here on these?

The Fumoto drain valve looks almost identical to most of the tractors I've got on the farm, so I'm familiar with the design, though it doesn't have a magnet on it.

Not sure how necessary a magnetic plug is?

I have the Fumoto oil drain on my truck with zero issues.

It takes a bit longer to drain but is well worth it.

Re: Fumoto Oil Drain Valve Or Magnetic Plug

Honestly, I like the idea of the Fumoto one as I'm more used to it than a plug anymore since most of my tractors have one like it.

I just wasn't sure how useful or necessary one with a magnet would be?

Really if I hadn't seen one on @Geno's Garage with a magnet on it while I was looking around, I wouldn't have even considered buying a regular plug.

Do you all use the one with the 3/8 nipple you can put a hose over or the one without?

I installed the F104S (short nipple) but have never attached a hose.

I place empty 1-gallon containers under the drain valve and fill them for disposal.

As stated above, it is a tad slow but very convenient.

Unless Geno’s numbers are different, I see an F104-A and an F104N-A.

It's somewhat challenging for me to judge; that nipple doesn’t hang down far enough to catch on to anything, does it.

All my tractors have nipples, but they are like 4 feet off the ground.

I ordered mine directly from Fumoto.

You will probably be OK with the more extended nipple, and I just thought having the short nipple was the best of both worlds should I ever need it.
