Stock Gear Ratio - 2008 Dodge RAM 2500

I'm looking to see if anyone, off the top of their head, can tell me what stock gearing is on a 2008.

Was 3.42 an option for this year?

I'm curious to know if someone has replaced the gears on my rig because I see no tag on any of the diff cover bolts.

I want to go to 35s but can remain with 33s for the time being.

Worst case scenario is I shall jack up the rear and see how many turns the driveshaft goes vs. the tires.

I found that exact spreadsheet, but kind of voided it being that under RAM 2500 was the 5.9L.

I did see that RAM 3500 had 6.7L.

I don’t know if I could use that information.

I guess I’m going to have to jack it up.

The guy I purchased it from told me that it had 3.73 with posi.

I have jacketed it up before to see if it really was posi, and the wheels spun opposite ways.

Shouldn’t they spin both directions if it is posi?

Or is that not a good way?

No, I have not tried at Mopar.

I’ve tried the Chrysler site I think with “no window sticker available “.

I will try that now

Not sure if this helps at all but:

4th gear, about 50mph@2000rpm.

6th gear, about 65mph@1600rpm.

Is there not a tag on the rear end differential saying what’s in it?
