    The 4wd rarely gets used.

I've never done a boosted launch.

I've hit it on a stoplight a few times, but that's it.

    U joints are cheaper anyway.

I may try that first and see where that gets me.

I'll probably rebuild the front driveshaft while I'm in there.

The only sound that I can sure know is coming from the t case is a light chain buzz that I can hear if I am coasting at, say, 40mph next to a wall or something.

    I figure that is normal.

Maybe not, I don't know, LOL.
Is your truck a long box?

Have you checked the carrier bearing?

    It's a short box.

    No carrier bearing for me.

I have noticed that the clicks when I let off the gas usually come in three or so sets.

That took another easy one outta the mix.

Gotta love the thrill of chasing sounds and figuring out the cure.

Ah, the joys of older vehicles.

    More drinkin thinking required.

Yes, as soon as you get something fixed, something else rears its head.

    I can't complain, though.

I haven't had to really do anything to it since I got it 10 years ago.

It doesn't help either that I can be a bit of a hyperchondriac with my truck.

Every time it makes a funny noise or has a weird vibration, I feel like it will explode, haha.

I know, any excuse to wrench on it more….

Believe it or not, I like to tell myself that my add-ones pay for themselves in fuel savings.

After all, I’m not driving while I install them.

Since I usually enjoy an adult beverage or two during the additions, that’s a day of fuel savings right there.
