Track Bar Mount Cracked

I started hearing a popping sound when turning left, checked the bolts on the BDS lift kit, and found one of the track bar drop bracket bolts loose.

I tightened that up and took it out for a drive, and the sound seemed to go away, then came back after a drive around the block but not as bad and repeatable.

Upon more inspection, my track bar mounting bracket, the factory one to which the BDS drop bracket mounts, is nearly ripped off the frame.







Not sure how to fix this, been looking for a new track bar bracket but can't find anything.

I have reached out to BDS but have not heard back.

I have seen a recall on earlier years for this bracket coming off the frame.

I looked at my 2020, and it has a different track bar mount which looks much more solid.

Other than a custom fabricated bracket, does anyone have any suggestions for a fix for this?

I can't drive it like this, so it is parked until I come up with a solution.

This exact thing provoked my insurance company to attempt to total my truck after I was in an accident.

I had to replace the entire frame for that tear.

It is fixable.

We will need to find a local fab shop to make a new track bar mount, that uses the drop bracket geometry and mount directly to the frame.

Cut the stocker off and weld on the new one.

I could also reach out to Thuren fabrication to see if he could make you up one to take to a local welder.

That is not good news; I hope to find a better solution than that.

Alternatively, the damage is repairable if you know a local welding outfit knowledgeable of hard facing.

No, I have not found anything, so I have a friend who will come to look to see if we can fab a custom replacement bracket to tie the BDS bracket to the frame and fully weld it in.

I will be sure to post the solution once it is done.
