Proper Tire Pressure For Snow / Below Freezing Temperatures

I am running 295/60/20 Toyo AT Extreme II tires on a 2012 3500 Crew Cab Reg Box 4X4 (SRW).

Going to get snow / below freezing temps next week in my area.

Wondering if anyone could chime in and give me some advice on what PSI they run in these weather conditions.

I am currently running the factory-specified tire pressure found on the driver-side door pillar.

I am having difficulty finding anything through the search function, so I apologize if there is already a post dealing with this exact topic.

    Thanks

We don't get much snow here in OK - but we do get our share of ICE.

Typically winter months - I run 60psi - Front & 50psi - Rear ---> With 250lbs of sandbags in the rear. (Right up against the back tailgate).
Granted, I still run the Horrid Firestone TF tires - Total Disaster in Snow/Ice - I did notice dropping the air psi did help.

Alot of advice floating around on this question - You will see a ton of different opinions!

I figure a New set of Toyo or Nitto A/T with alot of sipping would make a remarkable difference.
Really like the New Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T.

I do know - Good weight distribution / Proper operating 4WD-AWD / Tire Selection (with the ideal Tire PSI) is Critical - I like a wider (Fatter Footprint) - Softer Compound A/T with a TON of Sipping.
Traction Control is still in my mind a big?
Even though Eaton swears their TracRite GT (Anti-Slip) is Not Effected by ABS nor Stability Control - I feel a properly operational Anti-Slip drastically helps with traction during the winter months.

Possibly when everything is payed in full - a set of 4.10s and Electronic Lockers (Front/Rear) will complete my ideal Winter Set Up!

Re: Proper Tire Pressure For Snow / Below Freezing Temperatures

I read on some other forums 50psi rear and 60psi front.

I am currently going to go with 50 rear 60 front and grab some sand bags for the rear soon here.

    Thanks for the answer.

I run the same pressures @SyN, might even drop the rears to 45.

My truck bed typically collects enough snow to worry about sandbags.
