    Problems Before/After 68RFE Rebuild

    2018 2500 with a 4-inch lift and 37's with RaceME Ultra and 68RFE.

After installing RaceME about eight months ago, I soon got the P0879 code, so I replaced the valve body with a Revmax.

Three months after that, I started getting P0933, and when the truck is cruising at 60mph with RPMs around 1200 in 6th gear and starts to go up a slight incline, it starts jumping and won't downshift unless I floor the pedal.

Fast forward to complete failure and rebuild three weeks ago.

The truck is doing the same thing after rebuilding 6th gear with low RPMs and shudders like a straight drive needing to downshift.

The transmission shop just called and said they put a line pressure booster on it, and it's ready to go.

I call BS because the RaceME supposedly increases pressure, and it still did it.

Could this be a tuning issue, or has anyone dealt with problems like this?

Are you running custom tunes or box tunes?

The truck goes all through all the gears and in 6th gear before it hits 55mph.

When you try to accelerate under a load with or without a trailer, the truck starts jumping and jerking like a straight drive into high gear with low RPMs.

You need a custom tune. Box tunes are generic. That probably explains why your transmission is acting the way it is.

First off, the box tunes suck, and you can't use a box tune with the Revmax Valve body.

You need to be custom-tuned to fix your issues.

    Re: Problems Before/After 68RFE Rebuild

I have Severe Issues with my 2017 68RFE, at 127k I think its getting its 3rd tranny, the last one was a category 2 Suncoast with converter.

The Suncoast has 18k on it it started with a line pressure circuit voltage low, works good cold, after reaching 130-140 1 out of every 30 kick down from high gear it may throw codes the last time it had 4-PO729-PO735-PO933-PO934.

As soon as the codes came on I preformed a Suncoast filter and fluid change, the pan was covered with black non metallic fiber, like carbon flakes about the size of a friction disk pad head.

I am assuming it works good cold is because of less internal leakage in the od pack.

I cleaned everything I could serviced, Preformed a relearn 30 miles up and down 30-50 percent.

It worked great other than on kick down its like Its going in and out of high gear, rpm goes up and down 500 rpm, and this hasn't thrown an immediate code RaceME Ultra.

Box Tunes, any recommendations on the trans tunes?

    Is a RaceME Ultra capable?

    Thanks!

    God Bless

    The box tunes are horrible.

    Get custom tunes, friend.
