Windshield & Headlight Lenses Treatment For Winter

Winter Months are pretty much here.

I was curious what product those ana owners apply to their windshield & headlights to help shed Moisture to create less stress for the windshield wipers?

I have always applied 3-4 coats of RainX on both - with decent results. (15min dry time between coats)

My daughter, who is still attending Physical Therapy School - travels alot of interstate/turnpike miles - driving between school & job training practices & she thinks RainX is the best feature her Ford Edge has.

Whenever she comes home - she requests I apply 3-4 more coats on Headlights/Windshield/Rear Window.

I have read a few comments on owners applying Turtle Wax 53410 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wet Spray Wax to both & achieving fantastic results for the winter months.

For those who feel compelled to share their ideas & products, please do.

I use spray wax/detail spray on the windows, exterior mirrors, and lights every time I detail the truck.

I find it helps in the summer, too, as bugs clear the windshield a lot easier.

For many years, I have used a product specifically designed for aircraft to shed icing from windshields and wing leading edges.

It can also keep the hot jet exhaust from burning the paint aft the jet engine nacelles.

If you apply it to the headlamp plastic, the ice will not form and hang on, which is especially helpful with LED lights not generating the heat Halogens do.

Do you use this on the whole truck or just the glass and headlights?

    Thanks for the replies.

I am always thinking ahead, and a clean windshield during the winter months is a plus situation - especially since the windshield wipers usually are frozen to the glass.

@Patriot MotorSports for that excellent suggestion!
