I am waiting to hear back from my local shop on their thoughts regarding the sensor.

Still have no idea about the active air box service warning.

Not super worried about it right now.

I heard you could get a tune to disable it, but since mine is stock, I suppose it should be monitored still.

Not used to all of these sensors and technology on the newer trucks.

Here are some pictures of where "I think" the stock fuel filter was taken out, and I saw some plugs detached and uncovered.

I am wondering if that is causing my P238D warning for the water in the fuel sensor.

That could be the culprit with an exposed plug in the elements causing your WIF to come on.

Try cleaning the connector thoroughly and let it dry.

Cap it off with a dummy plug or some waterproof taping.

Curious why the rear filter was taken out?

Not sure, but I will do that and see what happens.

What sort of cleaner would you recommend?

I assume maybe cleaner, use a compressor to spray everything out, let it dry, and then finally close it off?

Any spray electrical contact cleaner will work.

The WIF connector is most likely shorted by dirt and moisture.

As watersupply189 said, that connector needs to be cleaned and insulated to prevent the code from reappearing.

Strange that the filter was abandoned like that.

Hopefully, there is another after-market filter installed before the one in the engine bay.

    Thank you!

There is a FAAS fuel lift pump system that has two filters (fuel and water), so I assume that’s why it was removed entirely.

I’ll attempt to clean it out this afternoon, let it dry out, and wrap it up to seal it, and hopefully, that code will disappear.

I have also been sitting here thinking.

I bet you money the old tunes had that particular WIF sensor disabled, as well as the active air disabled.

I can understand the WIF sensor, but the active air?

    Why?

It’s a stock intake system, from what I can tell.

This makes sense because I didn’t get these codes until after I overwrote the old tunes from the previous owner.
