Transmission Running Hot After Revmax Cooler Bypass

That's what I am trying to figure out.

Revmax valve body, OEM filter, Revmax cooler bypass, and MM3 tune by Ray at @DRD transmission was not doing that before not sure what was going on.

The top line in the bypass is really hot; the line is cool to the touch.

Hopefully, Mike will have some suggestions after he talks to Revmax tomorrow.

You said the top line on the bypass is hot as you would expect since this line is coming from the transmission.

If that line is hot on both in and out to the cooler, then we know you are getting supply flow through the input of the bypass.

I wonder if, for some reason, you may not get good return flow through the cooler and bypass back to the transmission.

I was thinking out loud.

I was trying to find an easy way to verify system flow without disconnecting the return line, losing transmission fluid, and making a big mess.

Maybe use an infrared temperature probe to track the temperature changes through the cooler to the bypass.

Also, If the cooler and bypass are working correctly, I would expect the transmission pan temperature would be lower than the temperature of the top line on the bypass going to the cooler.

Are you saying the new valve body caused the transmission temperatures to rise?

On issues such as yours it is very difficult for us to diagnose remotely. In order to help you figure out what is going on we will need to see some data. This data can be captured using a Snap On scanner and then this data can then be sent to us from your shop. We have created a video for you or your shop to watch that will explain the process. Engine RPM
Desired line pressure
Line pressure PSI
Line Pressure duty cycle %
Output Speed
Present Gear
Present Gear TCC State
TCC SLIP RPM

Vehicle Speed
LR pressure switch

Not sure, @Chrisn162001 would know for sure. After looking at your last post with the video seems they are just looking for data.
