I highly recommend a quick learn with any transmission repair especially valve body replacement.

A lot of people will say you don’t need to.

Those same people couldn’t begin to explain what CVI's are and how the PCM use’s that value.

I assure you the people at Revmax are trying to help, and they have been some of the best people I’ve ever met.

I am not an expert, but I do know a lot is going on in the transmission.

I also do believe Revmax people are experts.

No, I don’t work for them; yes, I have their products, and yes, I could have bought another brand.

    I’m thrilled I didn’t.

    Just my two cents.

White Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie, Tuned, 625 ARPs, Revmax transmission with a billet input shaft, billet flex plate, Revmax thermal bypass, Revmax deep pan, Revmax billet valve body,
4600 shocks, Airdog 165, ARE shell, Line-X, ICT grid heater delete, Glacier diesel grid heater, stock size tires and wheels, stock suspension, mostly just a stock truck.

    Same here!

It’s also hard, adding new components to a used transmission is never the perfect recipe.

In fact sometimes it makes a small problem get larger quickly.

    OP, any updates?

Like everything else in life, the weakest link always shows up.

Man, and don’t I know this.

Re: Transmission Running Hot After Revmax Cooler Bypass

Well, I finally got a chance to send Revmax the snap-on scanner movies they wanted to get inside the Transmission brain and see what is going on.

This is what they say to me: (Hi Jendry Cabrera,

I do not see any slipping causing the trans to heat up, it is very strange, possibly a cooler or cooler line issue. Also, check your radiator fan, it may not be up to par and not pulling enough air through.)

    Who built the transmission?

Did they do any pump mods or replace the pump with a new one?

Re: Transmission Running Hot After Revmax Cooler Bypass

The Trasmission was reman Trasmission I bought the truck use and on my way from NC to GA.

The Trasmission was over heating, the dealer towed it back to a Trasmission shop and they put a new transmission.

I went and picked it a week later and everything was good until I did valve body, thermostat bypass and MM3.

Everything was done at the same time.

Not sure if the pump was changed or not.

If the pump was not replaced or built with the updated valves, I bet the tcc limit valve bore is worn.

It will cause low cooler flow and overheating. Probably had a problem with it before the add ons. Additional line pressure can amplify overheating issues.
