    Power Steering Pump Replacement

I’m going to be replacing the power steering pump on my 14; it looks tight to get it out.

Does anyone have any tricks to getting it out?

Pull the fender liner; it comes right out the side.

    Thanks.

Should I pull just the pump or the bracket and the pump?

    I'd pull the pump.

Once you remove the three bolts through the pulley holes, they will come off the bracket.

Any tips on bleeding the system after the new pump is in?

    Thank you @AK Bob.

I’ll give that a shot tomorrow after I get the new pump in.

    Re: Power Steering Pump Replacement

I got the new pump in bled the air and thought it took the whooshing noise away and the whine when the rpm's go down, but when the fluid got hot, it all came back.

The power steering whine went away when turning hard, so that was good.

The only thing I didn't like was putting the banjo bolt in the pump.

They want you to use a crush washer at the bolt's head and an O ring at the top of the banjo bolt.

I don't know what keeps the O ring from going sideways and blocking the flow.
