Programmer Failed Bad And Having Issues

Ok just purchased a 2010 RAM 3500 6.7L Cummins two weeks ago.

The truck has erg and DPF delete.

I didn't know at the time but purchased a bully dog gt program error.

I installed it, and then the problems began.

Check engine light on, and all emission codes come up.

After researching found out, this programmer does not support deleted vehicles.

So I go back to stock and still have the same issues.

Says Regeneration needs to be done and DPR 80%.

When I drive, it seems to run fine, but lots of white smoke from the exhaust.

It continued to smoke until I put it in park.

Is it safe to drive, and my next question is if I purchase a RaceME Ultra will it fix these issues I have?

    Thank you.

    Update
Well had to wait a few days for the race me ultra to show up. Got it installed and finally truck is back in business. Just running box tunes for now but plan on getting some better ones down the road. Thank you for the help.

Re: Programmer Failed Bad And Having Issues

If your original programmer was a RaceME Ultra and you still have the original tunes you should be able to reprogram your ECM and the truck should run as it did two weeks ago.

Your other option would be to purchase new tunes and programmers from a reputable, trusted tuner and retune.

I am assuming the white smoke is a result of stock tuning with parts removed and not an injector issue.

    Thank you for the reply.

I'm not sure what it was previously programmed with.

I didn't even realize it had been programmed until I learned the hard way.

I plan to purchase a RaceME Ultra tomorrow and hopefully get them to send it the next day; I know it will cost me extra, but I need the truck running correctly as it is my daily driver.

I had overwritten the program that was installed and had no way to get it back.

Hopefully, the new programmer will correct this issue.

I am assuming the RaceME Ultra comes with boxed tunes.

Hopefully, other RaceME Ultra owners will chime in with advice.

Yes it does, but it is compatible with the deletes that have been done so hopefully it will at least get me back on the road and I could purchase a better tune down the road if needed.
