Weird Squeaking Noise At Low RPM

Have a weird squeaking noise, almost like the tire is running out of air but is coming from the engine or turbo.

Only does it in gear and stops after I accelerate more.

Won’t let me post a video.

Hard to hear anything with the wind blowing in the microphone.

Have you checked your wheel hub bearings?

It sounds more like it’s coming from the exhaust.

Almost like when you have your windows barely cracked open.

As mentioned it’s hard to tell from the video.

Does the sound change pitch when you switch the exhaust brake on or off?

I swapped in an s468, so I don’t have an exhaust brake.

I’m going to check for an exhaust leak tomorrow.

It’s just been a long day, LOL.

Hoping it just might go away, ha.

It’s just in lower rpm’s; maybe it just needs more air for the turbo, I don’t know.

I will look at it tomorrow with a more rested mind.

    Something you could do tomorrow.

If you suspect an exhaust leak, look for soot deposits or use the exhaust port of a shop vac or air compressor at the tailpipe to pressurize the exhaust system and test with a soapy water solution.

Well, I tightened up everything and switched back to shell T6 oil, and it just seems like it’s running a lot better, and I don’t hear that sound.

I don’t think I will ever be switching oils again.
