    Forced Re-Gen

    Hello all, first post.

Question regarding any device that can plug into the OBDII port to program a forced re-gen?

I have a bone stock 2015 2500 with 119k on the clock had to go through the expense of a new particulate filter.

I know that over time they clog up, but I'd like to be proactive and force a re-gen before it gets bad.

I'm not interested in doing a delete; I have been down an extensive build on my past 06' years ago.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

I haven’t actually performed a forced re-gen, but see attached link for Alfaobd.

Thanks for the reply; I briefly looked over the link's page.

Seems very much like a diagnostic type of device.

Do you know for a fact that it can command a re-gen?

Again, I haven’t personally performed this procedure with AlfaOBD.

I did connect my software to check for you and have attached a couple of screenshots.

It looks like they do support a Stationary Desoot.

It will Regen on its own.

Forcing a Regen won’t make a functional DPF system last any longer.

    No kidding.

That thing is going to get HOT. (hence the lowering the spare and giving a 12ft radius).

I'd just drive it for an hour on the interstate now and then if you're concerned.
