Angry It's Got To Be The Input Shaft - Maybe?

As I'm sitting waiting over 3hr for a tow.

Pulled out onto the road, hit the fuel to get into traffic, hit 3rd gear, big boom under the truck. the engine runs fine, but no drive train movement.

I switched to 4x4, nothing, so it's not the rear end.

I jammed it in to park, no grinding.

It's got to be the front of the Trans.

Any thoughts besides lay off the happy pedal?

Only 29000mi, and on level 2 tune?

    Agree.

It sounds like an input shaft to me also.

    Please keep us posted.

Tow Co just said "30min," which is the same thing they told 2hr ago.

Well, it's going back to the house so I can "revert" it before it goes in for warranty.

Good thing you kept the parts.

However even with them installed and appearing to be stock, I am sure they will be able to tell it was modified when they scan the computer.

Hopefully you won’t have any issues with your warranty.

Re: It's Gotta Be The Input Shaft....Maybe?

A similar issue happened to me in my 06 (I wish I never got rid of it!!) about eight years ago.

For me, it was my flex plate.

When I had my Trans built, I didn't know and wasn't told to upgrade it to a heavy-duty flex plate.

    Lesson learned the hard way!

Well got it home after 4hr.

The driver got it loaded on a flatbed, and then as he started to drive, he realized that my baby tips the scale at just over #10k.

He drove 45mph down the highway, and as he would turn onto side streets, he did about four mph.

It took forever to get home but made it in one piece.

    Now starts the "Reversal" process.

Time to see if I can find the white rabbit?
