How do these two compare from experience?

I'm on the fence, just looking for some good insight.

    Thanks,
    Ricky

I just put on Optimal Tuning on my 19 2500.

I like them so far but don't have any other 5th Gen tuning experience.

I do like e EZ Lynk for tuning but not gauges as it ties up my phone, and some apps don't work cause it thinks the wifi is internet and says no connection.

It might be a simple setting I don't know of.

I hear great things about both tuners.

    Hard to decide.

I’ve had both, and they don’t even effing compare.

    Stay away from Optimal.

    Go with Ray at DRD.

I cannot be happier with how the truck runs and shifts.

Especially if you have the 68RFE.

Man, does my truck shift nice compared to Optimals.

Ray sent me 1 tune with all the mods I have done to this truck, and it’s money.

Optimal took 10 revisions and still wasn’t able to get my truck running right.

On the 10th revision, it was finally just good enough to drive.

My tunes now from Ray would smoke Optimals tunes.

My truck now would beat my truck with Optimals tunes, hands down.

Thanks just the feedback I was looking for.

I have the Asian, but nobody can tune them, I hear.

Some guy on Facebook from Idaho says the Asian can be tuned, but I don’t really believe it.

Yea they def CANNOT be tuned yet.

If someone has cracked the code on the Aisin I wouldn’t go with the first person to do it LOL.

Def want some experience under the belt of tuning that thing before slapping the first one in it.

    Any updates on this?

I am strongly considering using DRD as I have an Aisin as well; I am just concerned about the defueling; I want it to stay.

I’ve asked this question with little of an answer.

Does an Aisin-equipped truck take a different engine tune to try and help out the Aisin at all?

Or is it the same engine tuning as a 68RFE-equipped truck?

I’ve very interested in this as I patiently wait for the 22 tunes to come out.

I don't think they take the same tune, as they aren't the same engine.

Different compression ratios and different trans.

I haven't heard or seen any complaints from the people with Aisin @DRD tuning.
