    Pedal Hiss

I'm getting a mild hiss from the brake booster area.

It cuts out whenever I press on the brake or turn the steering wheel.

    Any ideas?

    Replace the upper tubing.

There is a nylon liner in there that slips its position and slides inside the hydraulic brake unit.

You can verify by removing the line from the brake unit, and you will see a clear plastic liner.

Some people pull them out and done.

I replaced the whole line myself

    Rock on, thanks.

I am trying to get this fixed because I have a trip coming up this weekend where i will be towing our SxS for 3+ hours in one direction.

It's WAY under the weight our trucks can handle (trailer included), but always in the case of emergencies, I want FULL braking power, exhaust brake, and tranny downshifting correctly.

I had the same problem with my 2011 about four years ago, I just removed the Teflon liner and reconnected the hose, and it's been fine since then.

There was another thread going about this, and some of the newer trucks have a different hose design, but if yours is the same as my 2011, you can probably remove the liner.

Two videos in the other thread address this problem.

One shows removing the liner and reusing the old hose, and the other replaces the hose.
