Uconnect 8.4inch 4C - Radio Delaminating

Does anybody know of a fix for the radio delaminating?

The truck is out of warranty but not even 3 years old, and the dealership told me that the only fix is to replace the whole unit for $1100?

I saw some videos on YouTube about replacing just the LCD but couldn't find anything online as far as the right part.

Infotainment.com repairs them for around $600 other than that I wouldn’t know.

Is the truck drivable without the radio installed?

It is my daily driver, so I would not be able to have it down for the days it would take to be sent there and back.

I just got one ordered under warranty.

The top corners are going on mine.

The truck is 2018.

It's got 21k garage kept miles on it, so it's pretty nuts.

I pressed the dealer to get a new unit installed and not "refurbished," so we'll see.

I really wish we could get the screens to replace ourselves because the whole unit is being replaced is a shame.

Yea unfortunately I daily drive mine so I am out of the warranty based on mileage so they said there was nothing they could do other than replace it.
