Gained access to the comm module.

It was together tightly, and all connected cables were tight.

I think the electronics in the monitor have gone south.

Thanks for all the help, guys!

    RaceME Ultra Problem

    I didn’t send it back - I just bought a new monitor.

It arrived today and works great—bad monitor (I think it may have gotten wet).

Anyway, reflashed the ECM & tranny.

Do I have to go through the tranny relearn process?

I would say yes since you did a re-flash.

Glad to hear you are back up and working again.

That would be a couple of hundred miles of stop & go driving?

Yes, This link has a good explanation of the process.

Unplugged the OBD again and, upon closer inspection, noted a bit of what looks like corrosion.

Could that be causing my issue?

    Thanks!

    FYI.

I had a new MM3, not three mos old, and mine was shutting down on startup and flashing green/red.

It turns out it was my three 1/2-year-old batteries.

(I did have a battery charger/maintainer attached during flash).

A co-worker had the same issue.

It turns out the system is susceptible to voltage.

13+ voltage on startup is suitable; 12+ is not good enough.

No issues since the battery replacement.

OK - did the 25 cycles of running up through all the gears and back down (more like 30 times).

Kept it under 30% throttle for the ’initial’ relearn.

Now I’m confused with the second part.

Performed over a minimum of three days, 200 miles of ‘stop and go’ at less than 50% throttle.

Is that the same as what I just did with the initial cycle?

If so, that’s nearly impossible to do where we live and would take weeks, if not months, to accomplish.

    Some clarity would be appreciated.

I would recommend doing the best you can, avoiding more than 50% throttle and allowing the transmission to shift through the gears as often as possible.

Hopefully, others will chime in with their advice.
