I may try that to see what happens.

I may also pull the micro SD card and see if there are any corrupt files.

As a lifetime member here, can I get access to Ray’s site?

If it is truly broken and has to be replaced, I’d just as soon get an MM3 and let Ray do the tune.

    Thanks,

Yes, I would go ahead and do the update as they recommended.

Hopefully, it will start working again.

How’s it going Bob, did the update fix the issue?

Nope, but it convinced me that the comms module is working.

It updated fine, then told me that the ECM should be reflashed to take advantage of the updated tunes.

I suppose it “talks” to the ECM, so I think that’s working OK.

I contacted RaceME Canada to let them know that the update was successful, but the touchscreen still doesn’t work and asks if they sell just the touchscreen.

They do, for $350, but he said if I were comfortable removing the four screws on the back, they’d send me a replacement touchscreen at no charge.

I jumped all over that one!

Keep in mind this unit is over four years old, and any warranty is long gone.

All I have to pay is shipping.

It will hopefully be here this week or early next week.

I have no idea how shipping from Saskatchewan to New Mexico might take.

Good deal, nice of them to send you a new touchscreen at no cost.

You should be back in business soon.

    Received the replacement screen today.

I replaced it, plugged it in, and the screen illuminates but is blank.

Starting to think it’s the electronics inside the monitor.

RaceME says it could be the monitor, cable(s), comms box, etc., and I can send it to them for diagnostics.

The problem is, I didn’t install it, to begin with.

I think I know where the com module is but have no idea how to get to it.

I believe I feel it zip-tied behind a dash panel below the steering wheel.

Does that panel come off, and if so, how?

I may send it back to them to repair it, but I’d want to send everything.

I bet if you have the two-piece comm’s box, it has come loose on the two halves.

If yours does have that, make sure the metal studs between them have been removed and screw them back together.

    Yes, it’s the two-piece.

Not quite sure how to get to it, though.

The com module is most likely tie-wrapped up underneath the dash.

Two screws on the bottom usually retain the panel under the steering wheel then pulled away from the dash with wires attached.

I found this video for a 2009 one that should be similar to yours.

Fast forward to the 7-minute mark for removal.
