Compounds you could basically think of having a small turbo to build boost at lower RPM and then a much larger turbo to continue to build boost at higher RPM once it can spool and the smaller turbo would run out of steam if left on its own.
    Thank you.

See I learned another thing LOL.

For my setup, it costed me about 16k in parts.

    Sitting around 600hp.

IMO it's well worth it having a fun truck.

    Re: S300 or S400?

I just recently did 2nd gen swap on my 2008 with an s366.

I wanted to (eventually will) put an s400 in it because of everything I've read regarding S300 vs. s400, but I had the 300 layings around, so I thought, what the hell.

So far, it has been a pretty damn good setup, even with just box tunes.

Ray with DRD is supposed to be sending me custom tunes tonight so im sure it'll run even better.

(LOL just got my tunes emailed to me as I write this. THANKS, RAY).

I've never driven one with an s400, but im sure they are superior to the 300 frames BUT.... you cannot go wrong with an S300 if you aren't trying to pump some serious power out of it.

I've been more than impressed with my s464 2nd Gen swap.

Stock fuel with DRD tuning and loving every bit of it.

That's a little too much of a blanket statement though, I think.

You can make more power with your S366sxe (66mm) than you can from a small S464 (63.5mm).

Everyone says the S400 will last longer than a 300, but the SXE has a lot of better components in it than a standard S400 turbo.

If you want to talk about a 467.7 with fuel, which everyone loves, different story, but 550hp maxed out on an S464 is far inferior to a S366sxe or S369sxe, which will easily outflow and outpower a small S400.

    Re: S300 or S400?

    Well, I ordered an S467.7.

I will let you guys know how it runs once I get all the parts in.

Going to build my own kit should be fun.

So hopefully, some pieces start showing up in the next week or two.

    Re: S300 or S400?

Ray at DRD suggested an S300 when I asked him.

I wanted similar stock spool characteristics, S364SXE, Steed Speed Mani, etc...

Wicked fast with DRD tunes even on low power setting (2, I think), on 38" tires.

Been 40k miles without a hitch so far.
