So I decided to make a country road trip with my son.
He lives with his mom and needed a break as well. LOL.
I picked up son by Portland, OR, and our route.
I took us along the Columbia River through Idaho falls, up to Jackson hole Wyoming, Yellowstone national park, directly east through northern Wyoming to Devils Tower.
Stayed in Belle Fourchette South Dakota for a few days because there was so much to see and do.
We hit Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Badlands National Park. Had fun sightseeing in Deadwood South Dakota. This was my first time to these places with my son.
There was smoke during the entire trip.
Fires from wash and upper Idaho and smoke from fires in Canada.
I was very impressed with the truck, I kept tabs on mileage and fuel consumption, and overall hand calculated I averaged 20.7 for mpg on a trip that was 3992 miles long.
The only issue I had was that the front pass wheel was getting heavy-coated by brake dust daily for some weird reason.
I would clean it and recheck, and no weird sound as the truck has only 36 kmiles.
I pulled it and pads were 10mil looked good and I can't see signs of caliper sticking.
Maybe just the high heat and driving all those miles and elevations.
I used exhaust break mainly.
Just don't know why the brake dust is really only on the passenger front.
Lots of cool good folks out there in our country.
It was cool to be back in some of the states where good old boys raise their hands and wave as you pass.
Regardless of what truck you drive.
