    Steering Troubles

I need some opinions on my steering.

I've attached a video to see if I have a ton of ay in my wheel or if this is on par with others.

This is the movement with the truck off.

I'm running out of things to replace in the suspension.

I've done ball joints, tie rod, sway bar, 3in the level kit, steering box stabilizer, new shocks.

All of it is Carli, except tie rod/drag link is synergy. I am getting some delay in steering response and wheel shake, almost as if it wants to go into a death wobble when I hit bigger bumps.

I did have death wobble; I'm pretty sure the excessive caster caused it.

I took some out, and it handles much better now.

    Hasn't done the wobble since.

I want to like driving my truck again.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Have somebody do that while you are under it and see what's not moving as it should be.

I'm going to guess the pitman arm is loose or slop in the actual steering gearbox.

If you see all that movement entering the gearbox and nothing leaving, that's probably a good place to start.

I've even put in the bushings in the intermediate shaft.

I don't think there are any other spots in that shaft that really wear out.

Another thing I've noticed is pop in my steering column.

It almost sounds like the steering wheel, like the clock spring is going out or the blinker mechanism.

I know the clock spring should throw a code, and the blinker works just fine.

It only does it when the wheel is straight and you start making a turn.

I can't ever get it to duplicate when I try.

    Just does it randomly.

Here is a video from underneath.

I think it's a bit loose, but I don't have anything to compare it to.

    What do you guys think?

It looks like the steering gearbox needs replaced.

That’s a lot of slop in it.

That's also what I was thinking, unfortunately.

I just wanted to make sure before I drop another 800 bucks, and it doesn't fix it.

On the upside, I am running out of stuff to replace, LOL.

I just ordered one of their boxes.

    Hopefully, this solves it.

It has been replacing one part, and another issue arises.

    It is getting old.
