Avoid U Connect Like The Plague After Deleting

So, today was the first day I tried the app on my phone for the aforementioned since I deleted my RAM.

It started fine, and I went about my business.

When I walked up to the truck, I noticed my MM3 flashing red light and green light with no screen.

I immediately got sick thinking I really fubar’d it.

I tried shutting it off and waiting with no success.

I then disconnected my batteries and gave them a few minutes.

Wala, the MM3 controller, was working again.

However, my backup camera and all of the amenities, i.e., automatic air conditioning, Sirius XM, and a few others, were inoperable.

I drove it around, and still nothing thinking it would reset.

I pulled it into my garage thinking that it would be a trip to the dealer for who knows what after sitting a while in disgust, I started it up and wouldn’t you know everything was back to normal.

After three shots of Old Crow, I am too.

Do a load test on each battery.

It sounds like one or both are weak.

Interesting that it could be low voltage causing the issue as stated above.

If it happens again, rather than disconnect the batteries, try just unplugging the MM3 from the OBD port and then plug it back in.

I did try unplugging the MM3 first with no joy.

It is possible my batteries could be low.

I will do a load test on them later in the week.

I have two new optima batteries ready for just such an occasion.

I’m just curious if this particular action sent a spike that the MN3 controller didn’t like?

Has anybody else tried using their u connect the app with success since deleting?

The MM3 has nothing to do with Uconnect.

Low batteries will cause the MM3 to do what it did.

    How old are your batteries?

Yeah, 3 years old, they are possibly getting weak.

Load test them before starting your truck first thing in the morning.

    OK, batteries load tested good.

I’m still curious whether the controller got some transient or spike, which it didn’t like?

Does anybody have Uconnect so that they can try this and replicate this?

I have the Uconnect remote start control app that I have used with the MM3 connected.

It works fine with no issues noted.

During the last 18 months, I have noticed that the MM3 screen will be blank when the engine normally starts with the push button.

I unplug the MM3 from the OBD port and back in, and all works great.

This procedure basically reboots the MM3 system.

Wow, I don’t know what to say then.

I know that I deleted the app, and I will not be going back for seconds.

Hopefully, the devil will not show his head again.

I did have one instance: the controller apparently had a hiccup and read “did not train.”

    I haven’t seen that again.

It cleared when I pulled into a parking lot, turned it off, waited, and was all normal.
