So nothing is ever easy with Dodge.

I need a few opinions from guys who have done the head gasket and installed ARP bolts.

The short story head gasket is bad.

Dodge is covering under warranty.

Mechanic recommends installing ARP head bolts while he is doing the job.

Dodge tells me the bolts are $514.96, totally cool with that.

When I pick the truck up, I get hit with a $1100.00 labor bill (which I was never told about) + the bolts ($514.96).

Let me first say I have never installed ARP bolts on a 6.7 Cummins or many other motors. Yes.

Reading ARP instructions, it only mentions dremeling 1 bolt, maybe 2. With a labor rate of $200/hr (guessing), what took 5.5hrs?

What am I missing?

Thoughts.

2017 3500 with 89k miles. Stock truck

I get the truck back, and it makes it less than a mile down the road.

It shuts down, acts like it's running out of fuel...Unreal!

It has to be towed back to the dealer.
