    2016 RAM 3500 SRW Cummins 6.7L - Trans 68RFE

Hello all, this my 1st time posting

I have a 2016 RAM 3500 with a 68RFE, and I have a RaceME tuner, and now I would say I don't like how the transmission shifts while towing.

It seems like 2nd and 3rd never lock up, causing the trans temp to go up; it usually runs 168 to 172, but if I'm going up a hill at lower speeds will get up to 186, and it seems like 2nd and 3rd is the cause 4th will lock up and hold.

This only happens while I tow, and will a Warp tune help this and who has the best?

    Thank You,

Well, a few variables could be in play relative to the history of and your knowledge of the tunes within your setup,

Sir. I'm sure someone here will be able to shed more light on your query if you can provide more intel.

I perused numerous discussions from many threads, and the common path is one of us here purchased an already tuned truck, and very few have a solid path back on the totality of past efforts. I don't pretend to be nearly as knowledgeable as others here, nor am I assuming you fall into this category.

I was fortunate to have purchased my truck in OEM status and researched nausium, LOL, and options.

Concluding this, I will tell you, I wished I knew of this group of people before I embarked on my path.

My journey thus far has been great, and I will tell you the difference is the peer and customer support by all I have done business with here within this group.

For instance, Ray at @DRD IMO, not so much for what he offers (which is mind-boggling and his knowledge is without compare) but the fast response and customer service within his realm is immeasurable.

He may very well have clarity of your plight.

So I wish you great luck here and hope you find your resolve!

Thank You, this may start with many different opinions, but what is the best tuner?

Did I waste my $ on a RaceME?

The truck runs nice and empty; the shifts seem good, but with a load "14k dump trailer and a 35 mini", the trans seems lazy.

For me and my research, the MM3 platform hands down.

A valve body and use the 225psi trans tuning option on your raceme should help the laziness.

If you don't already have the thermal bypass, I would recommend getting one.

This will help keep the temps a little cooler.

Also, adding a deep trans pan will help keep the trans running cooler.

I tow an 11k fifth wheel, and my trans temps usually stay under 150 in 90-degree weather.

Warp tuning should get your torque converter to lock in 3rd.
