    DTC Codes

    I’m getting a DTC P22AE and P2509.

Does anyone have any idea what the P22AE is?

    I have a 2012 2500 MM3 with DRD tunes.

    Re: DTC Codes

Check your batteries, and the P2509 code sometimes pops up when one of the batteries is weak or running low voltages.

The P22AE is an O2 sensor code O2 sensor reference voltage circuit/open-bank 1 sensor 2.

    Thanks.

    Have another stupid question.

O2 sensors are located on the exhaust, correct?

I have a full delete with a straight pipe; what would I have to do in this case?

It's possible the O2 sensor code showed up due to the P2509 code.

Agree, have your batteries load tested and replace if weak.

Low battery voltage can cause false codes to be thrown.

    Pleased keep us posted.

I replaced both batteries this time last year.

Soon as this rain lifts, I’ll be checking a few things.

Thanks for all the info so far

Even though your batteries are relatively new, I would throw a load test on them to make sure.

I’ve seen too many batteries fail after only being in a vehicle for a year or two.
