    LED Tailights

Have a 4th Gen and am looking to replace my taillights with some decent-looking LED taillights; what does everyone recommend?

I know this is purely cosmetic, just looking to see what people have.

    LED Tailights

I have the factory LED lights, so I couldn’t tell you what brand to run on the 4th Gen, but from experience, don’t use Recon lights.

Those are nothing but junk IMO.

I had cab and taillights from Recon on a second-gen truck, and they both leaked water and kept condensation in both.

They didn’t even last a year.

I had Spyder 'red smoke' LED taillights on my 2012, and they were great units.

I had them on the truck for over 4 years, and they were still looking good when I traded the truck last year.

I have heard good things about Morimoto LED's and Midsouth LED's.

    No personal experience.

I like the look of the Morimoto LED tail lights for the Gen4, which is the route I will go eventually.

Not cheap whatever way you go.

    Re: LED Tailights

I had a problem with LED easy swaps (brake/tail) I bought at Auto Zone, and they wouldn't work.

The backup and third cab brake light accepted the OTC LED bulbs, but the OEM is back in.

Thanks for the post and inputs from all.

    A different path now underway.

And RECON's warranty is only 90 days on anything 12V.
