FOX ATS Steering Stabilizer VS. Carli Opposing System

I am looking into upgrading the steering stabilizer in my truck and seeing if anyone had any input on the best way to go.

I am torn between the Carli opposing system with a high mount and low mount stabilizer pushing in opposite directions.

This, I think, could offer a higher amount of adjustability, especially when it comes to tire pull if need be.

The other one I am looking at is the fox ATS stabilizer.

It is a single-cylinder dual direction damper.

It is still adjustable but will not adjust for pull.

Adjustments are equal to both sides of the piston.

The upside to this setup is the cos is much lower while also being an excellent product.

Does anyone have any experience with either one?

Some details about my setup are the tie rod and drag link is synergy.

It had a Carli leveling kit as well as the sway bar and track bar.

It will be running the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracks here soon once my wheels finally come in.

    (Been waiting for two months).

I've looked at the FOX ATS and thought long and hard about having adjustable dampening.

For me, I don't see the ROI on that because I most likely would find the sweet spot and then leave it there.

How many adjustments are you going to make over and over?

Now coming from a motorcycle race background, we would adjust the steering stabilizer on knowing what track conditions are.

Meaning some tracks are bumpier than others that would give us headshakes, and some tracks are smoother, allowing us to run with less tension.

But from a truck pov, I just went with bilsteins and called it a day.

Yea, it would problem do the same thing, but I like the ability to dial it into what my truck likes and get the best possible result and not have to take what comes out of the box.

The fox one is almost half the cost of what it will cost to do the opposing Carli set up.

The nice thing about that setup is that you have infant adjustment for anything, including radial pull, if I changed tires.

I have, too I have all Carli ball joints, the low mount stabilizer, track bar, leveling springs, shocks, and sway bar with a synergy tie rod, drag link, and box stabilizer.

I am leaning more towards just finishing out the stabilizer with Carli stuff and be done with it.

The tricky part is finding a mount that will clamp on the drag link for the upper stabilizer.

The synergy drag link is bigger than the stock one.

    What did you use?

I went with synergy's HD kit.

I came with the drag link, tie rods, & a bracket for the steering stabilizer & then went with the Carli adjustable track bar.

Pretty sure you can get the Synergy bracket by itself.

We sell them all(Fox, Carli, King, Bilstein), and the Fox ATS is the best stabilizer on the market IMO.

There are no nitrogen adjustments to mess with, and it has 25 adjustable settings, and IMO does a better job than Carli's upper & lower stabilizer combined.

I have it on my 2018 with 37s, and it's nice.

I recently ordered the ATS from Joe at DDP. Once it arrives this week, I plan to do the install.

I can let you know my observations if you'd like.

I currently have the Thuren leveling kit with Fox shocks and Thuren adj track bar and sway bar.

BTW, I see you are in Suffolk.

My oldest son recently moved there- nice place!

I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

It looks like a really nice setup.

Yea, I've been in Suffolk for a few years, and I like it.

Just far away from the city to have a more small-town atmosphere but still close enough to get anything you need.

Before I got stationed down here, I lived up in Lexington Park, MD.

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

I installed the ATS and then drove to FL the next day (1,100 miles).

Install was super easy, and I adjusted the firmness only 3 clicks.

Steering feedback is good, no pulling to either side, and we drove on some less than stellar portions of I-95.

Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Keep in mind I only have the stock stabilizer to compare it to, and it's undoubtedly much better.

I like the adjustability and will experiment more with the settings this week.

    Take care,
    RP
