Thread: Revmax 68RFE Trans Prices

    Revmax 68RFE Trans Prices

A while back, I was cross-shopping a Revmax 700 vs. Randy's Stage 2, and they were more or less a hundred or two within each other (when you add the flexplate with Randy's).

Now, I just checked Revmax's website, and now the 700 trans is $10k.

Did something happen, or did Revmax update the 700 trans with something to justify the price increase?

I did the Revmax, and it always includes the torque converter, or is that more recent?

A base Revmax 700 has been that price for a little while.

I'll help you out some on the Revmax, just PM me.

Price and availability of raw materials is the biggest reason everything is going up right now.

The price of metal has skyrocketed along with everything else.

    Re: Revmax 68RFE Trans Prices

Well, I'm still torn on either

    a) buying a built 68RFE

    b) NV5600 convert or

    c) ATS Allison swap.

My 68RFE with Revmax VB and tuning is doing fine now, but I have a compound kit in the box itching to get installed, and I'm certain the 68 isn't gonna like it.

Spend some time reading about tuning an Allison to work with a Cummins and maybe some ATS reviews.

My advice is just to remove that as an option, but I'll let you decide.

I do think Revmax made some of their add-ons as standard included pieces now for the 700.

I think the billet input shaft used to be an optional add-on and is now included in the build.

I looked a little while back and thought I remembered them having more of that stuff is optional.

2 years ago, I’d agree with this.

The 68RFE upgrades have come a long way in the last two years, and the prices are lower on the 68RFE.

12k for a 48re stage 1 without upgrades, and you lose overdrives.

10k for a built 68RFE will hold more power than most people on this forum will ever make.

Yea, but when your throwing compounds on a truck, your not worried about $$$; you just want to make sure the tranny doesn't go boom boom.
