Shell Spirax S2 G 140 or their S2 80w-90.
They are GL-4 and state for synchromesh gears and light pressure.
A list of Mercedes-approved fluids is where the Spirax came from.
When I ran Amsoil MTG 75W-90, I had no issues with cold shifting.
I swapped to Hotshots secret G56 fluid over the summer.
No cold shifting issues with this, either.

Royal Purple Synchromax.
I have been using it in my manual transmissions for over a decade.
No cold shift problems.
Transmission is quiet and smooth.
I also put in the +1 quart over recommended.

I used oil slightly thinner than 75-90.
I went with mobile 50W trans fluid; being in new England i did notice a bit of slow shifting, maybe the first 5 mins of driving, but other than that, zero complaints.
My friend used 75-90, which was too stiff when cold, so I went with a slightly thinner oil.
Nor is that thicker is worse; II just found a happy medium.
One of many G56 fluids per MB 235.1 list.
