    Tail Pipe Section

So, This might be a stupid question, LOL.

I was wondering do all 6.7L have the same tail section?

I have a good friend who is wanting to teach me to weld.

So, I figured I would mess around with an older exhaust to have it fit my car just for fun.

    Is this possible to do?

I have been helping him around his house and giving him some golf advice, and he has offered me money, and I can’t take it.

So I told him to teach me to weld.

I guess it depends on what type of welding your friend is going to teach you.

Suppose he is a stick welder; you will want to start on some thicker material.

Oxygen-Acetylene or TIG would be more suitable for exhaust welding.

MIG is great for those longer beads.

Whatever method he is willing to teach you, I would certainly take the opportunity and keep in mind it will take practice to become proficient and lay down a nice bead.

    Thank you, AK BOB.

    I believe it’s TIG.

I don’t know anything about welding; that’s why I want to learn.

I will update you when I buy an exhaust and start messing around with it.

To learn golf, I always say.

Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast, LOL.

I'm guessing that applies to welding.

It should be fun to learn this process.

    You bet!

    Looking forward to your update.

The best advice I can give is to keep an eye on the puddle behind the tungsten electrode.

When you get good, you can actually weld two pieces of tinfoil together with a TIG welder.

Well, a little update. I need to get better at the foot petal LOL.

He has me feeding the rod by hand.

I learned a lot, though, and we used argon.

I can see how you could weld the tinfoil.

I actually shattered the ceramic piece that holds the tungsten electrode, LOL.

    It’s a work in progress.

The biggest thing I have not to get so tense.
