Poor Transmission Shifting - RaceME Ultra Box Tunes

After installing the tune from RaceME Ultra/

I am now having my transmission slip going into 6th gear.

It seems as if it’s going into overdrive around 30mph.

When u left off the throttle, the truck bucks like a horse also when accelerating again.

Any ideas if the tune is causing this.

I haven’t hit rodded the truck at all too scared to blow transmission.

Box tuning on the RaceME Ultra causes many problems, and the trans tuning is really not something to brag about.

Get custom-tuned, and that all goes away.

I recently talked with Russ at RaceME Ultra Canada.

I asked about the latest firmware upgrade on the site.

He asked me to check with DRD to see if his custom tunes are compatible with the latest firmware.

I will be getting my tunes updated and would like to know if there will be any issues, or should I just stick with the firmware I have now?

    2016 Dodge Ram 3500,

If you get new tunes from DRD, they will send you an SD card with new tunes and the firmware also installed, so it is just hit a button and upload the new tunes and firmware.

Glad to hear! Updating the firmware is easy enough, however, possible conflicts with "custom tunes" makes firmware upgrades for most people a nonstarter!

Something RaceME will have to sort out!!

I would like to know how I can avoid any tranny relearns.

If I change my base tune, is that an ECM reflash?

I am assuming RT on the fly changes, is not?

I have a RaceME Ultra (with custom tunes), and my truck is 2016.

The only time you need to relearn the trans is if you go into your ECM file and reload your tune file.

Changing HP levels or sound tunes does not require a relearn.

What about the key on every time you start your truck?

    Does that reflash the ECM?

If a person wanted to rebuild a transmission, including changing clutch discs, would a reflash by going to stock and back to his custom tunes, avoid a quick learn, (but still requiring a transmission relearn) to not burn out the new clutch discs?

What would be the fastest reflash to the ECM without going from stock back to your custom setting to put the transmission into a relearn?
