Newb - Full Delete Incoming - Trans Questions

    Hi guys.

    My First post here.

    I have a 2016 with 70,000 on the odometer.

I just ordered a full Delete from hotrod. Racing an MM3 Tuner.

I also ordered the TCM tuning option.

The first question is, would Hotrod Racing be the tune creator for both ECM and TCM?

I know that might be for another section.

More importantly, what is the max hp tune I should run before I upgrade the Trans?

    30hp, 60hp?

Second, does anyone have any knowledge of Hotrod Racing?

Is the trans tune any good?

Last is if I order the recommend Revmax upgrades (converter and valve), what a safe hp is?

I forgot to add that the 68RFE is stock other than TCM tuning.

    Thanks for the help
    -Justin

Hello, you will also need to upgrade your head studs for increased HP.

As far as the transmission with the stock 68RFE, run it until you break it, don't nail the throttle at a standstill, give it some gas, get your truck moving, and then nail it!!

I run my truck with the same tranny, BD shift kit, BD deep tranny oil pan, tune installed by BC diesel, shifts great, I run it at the 30 HP level.

Keep in mind that the head gaskets are known for going on a stock 6.7. ARP head studs my next upgrade.

(My turbo actuator went on my 2016, and I decided to upgrade the turbo at the same time, BD Diesel Screamer),

    2016 Dodge Ram 3500,
Smittybilt M1 bumper, turbo back exhaust, ARP HEAD STUDS, BD Diesel ProTect68 68RFE Gasket Plate Kit and BD deep trans pan, SCREAMER HE300VG Turbo, BD Diesel Exhaust Manifold, Monster-Ram® Intake System 3.5-inch, Banks Air filter, BD Grid heater delete, RaceMe Ultra, tunes supplied by DRD.
