I have an 04 RAM 3500 as in the signature below.
I just finished trans rebuild and install, and the transmission was built by a local shop using a lot of parts I specified since I didn't have time to do it this go around.
The truck ran great for a few days with excellent power.
I drove it to get some things, pulled out on the highway, got to the store, and shut it off.
When I came back out, it seemed fine in the parking lot.
I went to pull back out on the highway, and it was majorly slipping in 1st.
I'm not sure if it slips in second as well, as I can't even feel it shift, but at around 35-40 mph, it gets back to normal.
You can't get it over 1400 rpm on the way up, or it'll run up and do nothing.
The fluid is full, and it has a brand new DPC billet triple 1800 stall converter.
It ran fine for a few days, so I'm honestly at a loss.
I'm going to recheck the shifting linkage and TV cable tomorrow as my shifting linkage seems like it's just a touch off in a few gears like I have to shift it then wiggle it to get the square to pop up on the dash around the letter sometimes, but it goes into gear positively.
It moves on its own when you put it in gear slips when power is applied.
I tried shifting to one; it is pretty much the same; you can feel a little more shudder than trying to grab.
Anything else I should look at before I pull the pan off or pull this whole thing out?
It's got all billet shafts and servos and accumulators.
The guy who built it said he would get back to me tomorrow as well.
If this isn't something simple, I will sell it or put an NV5600 in this damn thing.
I had a perfect trans that lasted a few years before an accident cracked the case, and ever since, it has been a nightmare.
Thank you guys in advance!
