    Tire Rubbing Issues

Hello fellow Cummins enthusiasts, i recently put Cooper 315's (I love the tires) on my 2010 SRW 3500 M/C after being told they would not present a problem.

Well, they rub a bit on the inside, aft of front axle, frame when turning full deflection.

Since the truck is not known for its tight turn radius, LOL is not a big adjustment as I don't take it to rub and continue.

The shop said since i (the wife, LOL, as i was outta town) put a hundred miles on the tires, nothing I could do, stuck with them.

Any advice on remedy other than selling them and go back to the 285's that had no problem.

Thanks for the time; as usual, looking forward to a sound fix.

The truck is not lifted or leveled and is stock otherwise relative to this subject.

Also, any intel on recall of speedo.

    Man, that stinks.

The only options besides taking the hit and selling them would be a front-level kit or wheel spacers.

You will need an electronic device to reprogram the speedometer.

Thankfully, being 2010, you have many options.

If it only rubs on the radius arm, then it may be as simple as a 1/4 inch spacer, and your good to go.

Thx Greg; I was heading towards a leveling anyway, so we'll seek a remedy and see how it works.

Also, thanks for the other info as well.

    Anytime man.

Please look at this video for an F350 single rear wheel but the same concept as our trucks.

    I hope this helps.

    No problem!

Changing tire sizes is such a risk.

I ran into the same thing when I put 305/70/17s on my '12.

It would rub the radius arm at full lock on occasion.

The truck was reversely leveled, so raising the front wasn't an option.

I almost pulled the trigger on some 1\4" spacers a few times but ended up just living with it.

Maybe get some different wheels with a more negative offset.
