I went expensive.
I put slotted (not drilled) StopTech rotors on all four corners and EBC Orange Stuff pads.
The initial bite was significantly improved (less like a brick) and more confident when towing.
I won't run a lesser pad as I like these that much.
For reference, I pull a 38' bumper pull travel trailer that weighs about 11,500 loaded minus what I chuck in the truck itself.
Next week I am trading up to a 41.5' 5th that dry weight is about 14,500.
The setup builds more heat when in the mountains on tighter turns where the exhaust brake does less to help maintain speeds.
I will probably flush the brake fluid out with something that has a higher temp range.
My Truck: 2016 Ram 3500 Laramie, granite crystal metallic/tan interior, CCLB SRW 4x4, 68RFE, 6.7 Cummins, rear air, 5th wheel pkg. MODS: MM3 w/tunes, EGR delete, ITC grid heater delete, GDP airhorn, GDP heater, ARP 625 head studs, FloPro 5", REVMAX billet VB, Synergy steering, Thuren .5" lift/sway, Fox remote res shocks, Morimoto HIDs and LED fogs.
My 5th Wheel: 2022 Grand Design 390 RK, 3 ACs, Gen Prep, too much storage ~16,000 rolling.
