    I lost it. 86 S-10 LT1 with a 4L60E.

Driveshaft broke while traveling down the highway.

    I walked away.

    Wow!

I'd never guessed you walked away from that one.

Must have been a horrible ride.

    Re: Life Saver

When I heard the truck hitting tree branches, I blacked out for a second and heard the loud bang.

Then I remember going down further into the median.

I said to myself, and I'm going into the other lanes of the highway.

Then the truck hit the second tree.

So after that, I found my glasses and phone.

The CD was still playing on the radio. Metallica Master Of Puppets.

I unlock the seatbelt and can't get out.

I rip the steering column off the dashboard and push it to the right.

I try to get out and grab a tree branch; of course, it breaks, and I fall back into the truck.

I'm like, seriously, that kind of stuff always happens.

So I try again and succeed.

I'm on the roof of the truck, and holy crap, where is the bed?

I climbed through the roof and bent the door frame.

I didn't know that I was hit in the head by the roof until the next day.
