I thought ram was swapping CP4s for CP3s now under recall/warranty?
I still want better spin on filters for my 2021.

Definitely keeping my rear frame mounted filter.

No, they are not.
There is no recall for the CP4 out currently.

I’m honestly surprised, seeing that no other manufacturer that used the CP4 ever got a recall.
FCA has not released details or published the recall on dealer-connect yet.

I’m sure it will be soon.
Letters go in the mail next month for the safety recall.

I found it.
It’s expected to launch 1st quarter.
If we replace every CP4 in every truck, I will anticipate long wait times and scarce parts.

I can only surmise that I never saw any failures in either my 2019 or 2020 trucks with the CP4 because I pour in a gallon of Quicksilver/Mercury 2-stroke oil to every 100 gallons added in my Auxiliary fuel tank mounted in the bed of the truck.
If I did not do this or forgot, my MPGs were off by at least 1-mpg average, but the power pulling was better with the added lubricity of the oil.
I put more than 200k miles doing this and have been doing the same thing with my new 2021 Ram 3500 with the same power/smoothness/economy.
Did you leave the filter bases on after you bypassed them?
