I messed the part of it doing it empty. Are you lifted in the rear?

No not even leveled. Factory suspension wheels and all.

I only tow occasionally. But a decent incline caused real turbulence. Which is common considering I live at the bottom of Saluda and it isn't the steepest road around. Just the steepest interstate

Very weird. The only 2 recommendations I have are a rear Thuren track bar or traction bars, other than that I'm not sure.

How many miles are on your truck?

Maybe your rear shocks are bad or just one is bad.

At that many miles could be shocks, springs, track bar bushing.

Hopefully I can get it solved in the next few weeks. I just ordered wheels from C. O. which will be here in a few weeks. I wanna do nozzles and studs for starters when they arrive but I won't be adding power with this issue

If you got the original shocks I would start with new shocks.

Could be one of the cheaper fixes.

Thuren rear track bar kit is nice and is always a good add for the 2500's.

    Re: Sway Problem

My 2500 was like this with anything over 4K lbs behind it. (My car trailer empty is 3784 empty) and I noticed it.

My box trailer (8.5x24x7ft H) was terrible, empty, or loaded.

I once had the truck trailer combo to 32Kish LBS, and it was better there than with less weight.

I never did get to find the issue as I got hit head-on just before the 4th anniversary of buying her new.

It was like that from the first time I hooked to the trailer (before 4K miles), and there is a weight-distribution hitch in my equation that made a noticeable difference when loaded.

I always felt it was the coil spring rear after being accustomed to leaf spring rear.

    Now I am in a 5500, and I don't notice it.

Just a thought, anyone had any issue with traction control? Or maybe limited slip differential?

OP does mention sway under power not just cruising
